I have completed 12th standard in Arts stream. I want to become a PCS officer. Please provide me the knowledge on which is the best graduation for PCS? Which graduation course will ensure that I will get the job in future? Can you please give me the answer soon.

There is no any particular subject prescribed to pursue in graduation. That is why you can pursue in any of the stream like- Arts, Science, Commerce etc.

PCS stands for Public Commission Service and for the recruitment on above post the candidates have to appear and qualify in UPSC and PCS examination.

The eligibility to appear for examination is that the candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline from recognised university.

So, you are eligible to select any stream in degree as according to your choice but need to do better preparation for examination to qualify in it.

PSC stands for Public Service Commission. State government of different states conduct this examination for different administrative and other posts. The academic qualification required for PSC examination is bachelor's degree.

Final year graduation candidates can also apply for examination. Since you have done 10+2 in arts stream then you must take arts subjects in bachelor's degree as it will help you in preparation for PSC examination.

The age limit for examination is 21-35 years for most of state PSC. OBC and SC/ST candidates get upper age relaxation.

Yes, as you have arts stream in 12th you can continue your degree in the same stream.

There is no limitation on discipline of bachelor degree to appear for PSC examination. So, you can select the course of your own choice.

There is also available options that candidates can select the optional paper for Mains examination other than that of discipline paper of degree.

So, you are eligible to pursue your degree in any stream.

There is no such defined bachelor's degree for Public Service Commission. You can do bachelor's degree in any discipline of your choice. It is said that if a candidate selects stream in bachelor's degree as per interest, he/she can excel in that stream without any difficulty.

Best way to join PCS after 12th:-

If you want to become a PCS officer then you have to pass the gradation with any stream from a recognised University.

PCS exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year.

Age limit:-

For open category- 21 to 30 years

SC / ST category - 21 to 33 years

Number of attempts:-

For Open category - 4 attempts

For SC / ST category- 7 attempts.
