A student passed with high marks all 6th semester and did well in 1st minor of 7th but then had to dropped the 7th for want of attendance. Can he be promoted to 8th semester with condition to clear the dropped semester in next year?

If it is a case of short attendance, then there is no chance of promotion. If leniency is the norm in such cases, then they should have allowed him to appear for exam in spite of short attendance.
