Re: Difference between B.Tech Biotechnology and Agricultural Engineering? Which has better scope?
There is Huge Difference in B.Tech(Biotechnology) and B.Tech(Agricultural Engineering).
B.tech in Biotechnology Deals with The use of microorganisms, such as bacteria or yeasts, or biological substances. B.tech in Agricultural Engineering deals with Farm Machinery, Food Processing, Soil and Water Engineering. In Agricultural Engineering, You will get every subject from different stream like EE, ECE, ME, Civil Engineering. Both Engineering have very High scope but B.Tech Agricultural Engineering have good scope in Private as well as Government. After Engineering you can get private industries like Mahendra Tractor, Tafe, Texmo, Duccan Industries etc... You can also get Government jobs like ADO(Agricultural Department Officer), AFO(Agricultural Field Officer) in every Public Sector bank. IBPS invites application a Specialist Officer like AFO every year for Agricultural Engineering Graduates. |

Difference between B.Tech biotechnology and Agricultural engineering are as:-
1. In Agricultural engineering, you have to apply for engineering courses like watershed hydrology, irrigation and drainage engineering, soil mechanics, fluid mechanics. 2. It also includes water conservation and engineering. 3. Whereas ,in B.Tech biotechnology, you have to apply for bachelor of science degree of 4 years. 4. It includes subjects like Agricultural chemicals, biochemistry, soil science and chemistry ,astronomy, Genetics and plant breeding , Plant psychology and pathology, meteorology. 5. Also Agricultural economics and statistics, Agricultural extensions, seed science and so on. |

Re: Difference between B.Tech Biotechnology and Agricultural Engineering? Which has better scope?
Actually they are related to some extent and each are of same importance.
Agricultural Engineering is more of the study of engineering principles in the use of agriculture, whereas Biotechnology is a specialized area of biological science which helps in producing vaccines, medicines, food etc stuffs. |
