I am a final year mechanical engineering student and i want to join merchant navy in the engine side. Can I join or need to do any other course for it aprt from my engineering?

To join Merchant Navy as a technical officer you need to pursue the training which is provided by the Merchant Navy training institute at bangalore.

For the admission in the institute, their are the private companies which recruit the candidates right from the college campuses from the final year itself.

You just need to prepare well for the recruitment drive, give it your best their and get recruited by them for the training.

After the completion of 1 year of training, you will be given the posting in the deck by the recruiters there.

Do I need to any other course to join Merchant Navy after completing Mechanical engineering?
