Hello,
I am studying 12th Science and I want
to apply for CENTAC for studying MBBS course.
I would like to know the eligibility criteria for
applying for CENTAC and also tell me the percentage
requires in 12th for applying?

For sure dear, In fact CENTAC is the entrance exam for the courses to get an admission in the Top colleges based on the marks in CENTAC.

Eligibility Criteria for CENTAC 2015 :

* You should complete 12th or any equivalent examination with minimum 45% of marks from the recognized board.

* There is a Percentage relaxation about 5% for SC/ST candidates.

* There is No minimum age limit for B.Tech and Maximum age should be 21 years.

Important dates for CENTAC 2015 :

* Starting date to fill the application form : 09/05/2015

* Last date to fill the application form : 18/05/2015.

Eligibility Criteria required to Apply for CENTAC:

No, if you are still appearing in 12th Class examination then you are not eligible to appear in CENTAC Examination. The basic eligibility criteria required is, "Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Class (Examination Academic) conducted by the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Examination board or its equivalent board is accepted. There is no particular age limit required to appear in CENTAC Examination and the maximum age must not exceed 21 years as on 1st July, 2015.

Minimum Percentage required:

For General Category Candidates - 45% marks in 12th Class

For OBC/ EBC/ SC/ BT/ ST/ BCM Category Candidates - 40% marks in 12th Class

Candidates must have obtained the above said percentage is Mathematics, Physics and in optional subject (Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology).

CENTAC stands for Centralized admission committee offers admission to various professional degree courses in the union territory of puducherry. It offers admission to M.B.B.S , B.Tech, B.A.M.S, B.D.S, B.V.Sc. & AH., B.Sc(nursing), B.P.T., B.Sc.(M.L.T) and B.Pharmacy courses.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :

1. Candidate must be a citizen of India.

2. Candidate must have passed class 12 examination conducted by the board of the higher secondary education, Tamil Nadu with a minimum of 50% marks.

3. The upper age limit of the candidate must be 21 years.
