Am a kenyan and would like to know what qualifications are required to take a bachelor degree in biotechnology, the cost and how long the course takes to complete

There are three types of course available in Biotechnology :-

-->> B.Sc Biotechnology
-->> B.E Biotechnology
-->> B.Tech Biotechnology

B.Sc Biotechnology :- The applicant must have a possess intermediate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects from a recognized School or equivalent qualification and must secure at least 55% Marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology(50% Marks for reserved categories). The duration of course is 3 years and course is divided into 6 semesters.

-->> Cell Biology and Genetics
-->> Bioenergetics and Biomembranes
-->> Animal and Plant Physiology
-->> Biostatistics and Computers
-->> Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering
-->> Animal and Plant Biotechnology
-->> Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology

B.E Biotechnology or B.Tech Biotechnology and the duration of course is 4 years and the course is divided into 8 semesters. The course is deals with research, design, operate and manage production that use biological catalyst.

To apply for this course, you must have a completed intermediate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology from a recognized School or equivalent qualification and must secure at least 60% Marks in their subjects(55% Marks for reserved categories). You can get the course through direct admission or entrance examination.

The eligibility criteria for the same is as follows :

* The candidate must have completed higher secondary from a recognized board.

* The candidate must have possessed at least 60% marks in the 12th with PCB as the subjects.

* The candidate must have attained an age of 17 years at the time of admission.
