Is GATE exam mandatory to do Ph.D in IIT, Chennai?
Is GATE exam mandatory to do Ph.D in IIT, Chennai? I just wanted to know this to ensure that I would start the preparation for it right away. So, please provide me the correct information on this soon. Thank you.

If you are having a Master's degree then you must have a NET/GATE/SET/JRF score for getting admission in a Ph.D program from IIT, Chennai. It is one of the most premier Institutes for research work and you must have a very good academic record with an excellent score in any of the above mentioned tests.
They have a very strict screening process for admission and only those with a excellent academic record will be able to get admission. Therefore, try to clear any of these exams to make sure that you get admission in a top Institute like IIT, Chennai. |

You must have either GATE score or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM to do Ph.D in IIT, Chennai.
