I have just completed my MA in English with 61.75% marks and want to pursue Phd. Please tell me the complete procedure.
What should i do if i do not qualify in NET? Looking forward to get the answer soon!

The eligibility to do PhD in English is a pass in Master’s Degree in English with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university. The aspirant has to appear for an entrance examination and interview for the admission. You have to contact the university English department for the admission. Those who have completed GATE/SET/SLET/NET/M Phil are exempted from appearing entrance examination. You have to apply to the university by downloading the application from the website or getting the application in person. You have to prepare a brief presentation of your research topic. You can do the PhD in English Literature in some other universities in India like;
