I have a firm basic knowledge of chemistry and have secured my best score in JEE main in chemistry. I have deep interest in the subject and can spend hours learning chemistry. But my parents want me to go for IT sector. I desperately want to stick to my forte but the job prospects are cause of my concern. Please tell me what should i do?

You should opt for the course of your interests. You should go for Chemical Engineering study.
Chemical engineering has good scope in future and chemical engineers are needed in almost every field. Chemical engineers are required in medicine, food products, electronics, construction etc.
