You are eligible to purse 10+2 from any of the board either CBSE or Maharashtra board.
Both the board have almost same syllabus and are recognized. Candidates passed +2 from any board are eligible to appear for entrance examination to get admission in higher courses. So, you can choose any of the board as per your convenience. But if possible mostly probably try to get admission in CBSE as they have their school in all across India and even abroad too. |

Central Board of Secondary Education is one of the best board in India as compared to any other state boards or certain other boards like NIOS, ICSE etc. You must get admission in any CBSE affiliated school in standard 10+1.
CBSE is better than any board because of its transparency and curriculum along with syllabus is good. Marking scheme and style is efficient, so it is the board in which candidates can score well. |

If we look at CBSE then there are schools across India for this board but Maharashtra board will be present only in the same state. Hence, if your parents have a transferable job all over India then CBSE is the best option.
In most cases state board schools are not at par with CBSE board schools. Only schools at big cities will be good in case of state boards. Hence, opt according to the standard of the given school. |

You can pursue your higher studies from any board based on your interest whether it is CBSE or Maharashtra Board. Both the boards offer high quality of education but, the difference is that CBSE is a Central Board and Maharashtra Board is a State Board. The syllabus of CBSE Board is same throughout India whereas syllabus of Maharashtra Board is confined to that state only. It is best to study your 11th standard from CBSE Board as this Board syllabus will contains the most important syllabus of all State Boards.
