Hello, I am Yohith. I want to do BA after 12th, I got 56%in 10 & in 11th I got 49%. May I know how much should I target for 12th. Reply me as soon as possible.

No specific percentage criteria in 12th standard is required to get admission in B.A. Candidates who have passed all subjects in 12th standard or an equivalent examination in any discipline from a recognised board are eligible to pursue B.A course. Admissions in B.A course are done through merit basis of 12th standard board examination marks or through entrance examination conducted by the respective college/ university.

B.A stands for Bachelor of Arts and admission in different stream of different institutes conducted on the basis of entrance test or on merit basis.

To appear for entrance examination the minimum required criteria is 60% while to get admission on merit basis in most of colleges and institutes candidates need to score as according to last year cut offs.

For DU on merit basis on must score above 90% ( general category ) to get admission in course of his/her choice. For detail information visit at www.du.ac.in.

So, set your target according to institute in which you want to get admission.

In order to pursue BA course after the completion of class 12th, you must score a minimum of 50% of marks in class 12th to get admission in a respective College.
Candidates those have completed their class 12th from a recognized Board with a minimum of 50% of marks in it are eligible to apply for BA degree course in Graduation.

Minimum Percentage criteria required for getting admission in BA:

There is a certain minimum eligibility criteria required for getting admission in Bachelor of Arts (BA) course.

>> The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible is "12th Class" from a recognized university.

>> As you are done with good percentage criteria, I can say that you are certainly eligible to pursue BA course.

>> In general, the minimum percentage required is 40% marks in 12th Class with 10+2 pattern. And the minimum percentage requires basically varies from institute to institute.

In order to take admission in BA only your 12th standard marks will matter, your 10th and 11th standard marks is not required for the same.
You should score 50% and above marks in 12th standard from a recognized board in order to take admission in good college to pursue BA course.
Many college admit candidate for their various bachelors degree courses on the basis of merit marks scored in the higher secondary examination.
So you should score good marks in your 12th standard.

You have to target at least 60 percent for 12th and also in every subjects after that you can get admission in BA.
If you want to pursue BA Honors then you must have to secure at least 55 marks in whatever subject you want.
Or if you want to pursue simply BA then you need to secure at least 60 percent in 12th or any equivalent examination.

** B.A. or Bachelor of Arts or B.A. (general) is an undergraduate course.

** The duration of Bachelor of Art course is three years.

** Candidate should have passed 12th class in any stream from a recognized board.

** The minimum percentage required in 12th class for BA course is 50%.

** If you want to take admission in good college then you have to score 70 to 80% in 12th class.

For taking admission in BA you should follow the admission procedure. Admission procedure is different for different college. Admission is taken on the basis of two factors.
Mainly the colleges provides admission on the basis of entrance exam. You have to prepare yourself for giving entrance exam. If you will get good score in entrance exam than you will get admission in BA .
Some college provide admission on the basis of percentage in class 12th.
You must have minimum 60% marks in class 12th for getting admission in BA.

In order to get admission in bachelor of arts degree you must complete your 12th standard with minimum 50% to 55% marks in any discipline from a recognized board. The percentage of marks may vary from one college to another depending upon their standards.

With this percentage you can apply for BA degree course in any college. The higher you score the better college you can get. So, you have to prepare accordingly.

As you are studying in 12th standard, you can aim for higher marks to get admission in BA. Admission to the BA course is done on the basis of marks scored in 12th. To get a seat in reputed colleges, you have to score very good marks. It is best to score over 80% marks in 12th to get admission in a reputed college. You should aim to score high marks in Class XII. If you study the course in a reputed college, then it is easier to get a job either on campus or off campus. Actually, eligibility to get admission is a pass in Class XII with at least 50% marks.

You should try to score atleast a minimum of 60% in aggregate to get admission in good colleges.

However, the minimum requirement for admission in the course is that the candidate should have secured a minimum of 50% in aggregate from a recognized university.

Generally if a candidate has obtained minimum of passing percentage of marks in 12th he/she can get admission in Bachelor's degree in arts in normal colleges.

But for admission in top universities like Delhi University, candidate should aim to score more than 90% marks in higher secondary board exam.

Study well to secure higher percentage of marks in 12th for admission in good colleges.

As per my knowledge you should attain at least 45 percent aggregate in Intermediate to pursue further studies. Less than 45 percent is not accepted to get admission in graduation. If you want to opt B.Sc/ BA/ B.Com/ BCA/ BBA then it is compulsory to get this much. As because to get admission you must have to clear entrance examination conducted by every college at the time of admission. After clearing entrance and getting more than cut-off marks only you will be eligible to get admission in any of the good colleges.

If you have completed 12th standard with above 50% from a recognized University then you are eligible B.A course.

You age should be above 16 years.
