IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. IAS exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. IAS exam is conducted one time in a year.

If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for IAS exam. IAS exam doesn't require any percentage marks in graduation degree.

Age criteria:

For General: 21 to 30 years
For OBC: 21 to 33 years
For SC/ST: 21 to 35 years

No. of Attempts:

For General: 3
For OBC: 7
For SC/ST: No Restriction

Selection process for IAS exam:

1)Preliminary test
2)Mains exam
3)Personal interview

No percentage criteria in Graduation is required to appear in IAS examination. Candidates who have completed Bachelor's degree course in any discipline from a recognised university are eligible to appear in IAS examination. The IAS examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of officers.

Eligibility Criteria :-
1. You must be a citizen of India.

2. You must have completed Bachelor's degree course in any discipline from a recognised university.

3. You must be in between 21-30 years old. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government rules.

4. You must be Physically fit.

Since, there is no minimum percentage criteria required to appear in IAS examination. After completion of your Graduation degree from a recognised university, you can appear in IAS examination.

Minimum percentage required in Graduation for IAS Examination:

There is no such particular percentage required to be eligible for IAS Examination. Yes, the basic eligibility criteria is "Candidates must have passed Bachelor Degree or Graduation from a recognized university". Candidates who have passed their Graduation with any percentage in any discipline are eligible to appear in IAS (Indian Administrative Services) Examination.

To appear in IAS services, you are required to apply for "Civil Services" Examination. Again it consists of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, Civil Services (Mains) Examination. You are required to write CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) to get admission in Indian Administrative Services.

No, there is no such criteria regarding percentage of graduation. One only needs to be a graduate in order to be academically eligible to sit for IAS examinations.

But, apart from educational qualification there are many more criterias that needs to be fulfilled by the candidate. The Criterias are thus mentioned below:
