hi i am civil engineer and i want to know can i get job in navy or which course i should do to get job

Yes ,you can get the job in navy as there are a no: of jobs that are available for the civil engineers according to the task assigned to them.They are as follows-
1. You can do the public works-In this the task of Supervising and maintaining utilities. Overseeing construction and repair. Managing budgets. Approving public works plans. And providing services to ships as they come into port are to be handled.
2. Construction Battalions – Command up to 600 Enlisted workers in the construction of airfields, bridges, ports or buildings.
3. Contract Management – You can be the primary contact between Navy and civilian contractors, managing contracts worth up to hundreds of millions of dollars.
Training & Advancement-To be part of the Civil Engineer Corps, you must first attend Officer Candidate School After that, comes Civil Engineer Corps Officer School – where you’ll receive specialized training needed for Navy projects, including management, administration, contract management, public works, and specialized military roles such as Construction Battalions.

Once your initial training has been completed, there are opportunities to further develop and enhance your skills through Navy postgraduate work that includes advanced engineering training, financial management, and courses offered by the Civil Engineer Corps School and Naval Facilities Contract Training Center

well engineers can join the armed forces either in airforce,army or navy through direct entry scheme which is generally done at the pre final year or final year of the engg. course.
They will be called up for the interview directly according to the cgpa or equivalent.

this can depend on on which type of vaccancy did indian navy gives in navy if their is graduation in qualification option then you can join and if educational qualification is mechanical engineer then you cannot join

You can get job in Navy without doing any course.

Navy has 2 type of recruitment -
1) Permanent Commission
2) Short Service Commission [10 years service]

In permanent you have option of joining LOGISTICS CADRE (Age below 25)

In short service you have following options -
Aviation Cadre (Pilot or Observer) [Age- 23]


Best For You Is
short service in Naval Architecture. It needs b.tech(civil with 60%) Age less than 25

yes a civil engineer can be a part of indian services, as you are an engineer from core branch then you be able to appear in IES exam(indian engineering services).

How To Join Indian Navy After Graduation

You can appear for the CDS (Combined Defense Service) exam in oreder to join the Indian Navy..

Eligibility Criteria For CDS

In order to appear for the CDS exam you need to fulfill the following criterion :-

1) You should be a graduate

2) You should be in the age limit of 19-23 years

Apart from these you should have good physical health and should have a perfect eyesight..

The exam shall be a 300 marks paper which will be divided into 3 sections :-

English
Basic Maths
General Knowledge

After completing engineering you can join Indian Navy..
For this you have to qualify the C.D.S exam..

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.
Candidate who pass the graduation in stream is eligible for this exam.

Age of the candidate should be in between 19-24 year.

This exam is conducted in three stage:-
> Written exam
> Interview
> Medical exam
