You should start your preparation at least two months before the test date. And coaching is not required, if you are good at Mathematics and English Vocabulary. If you are not good at them, then you should join in any good coaching center.

Following are the some of the best coaching centers in India. You can find these coaching centers in almost all metro cities.

1)VISU Coaching Academy

2)Manhattan Review

3)The Princeton Review

It is best to start your GRE preparation at least 3-4 months before when you are going to appear for GRE examination. GRE examination is administrated and conducted by Educational Training Services. GRE examination is conducted throughout the year. To appear for GRE examination, you need to book a test slot by visiting the GRE official website http://www.ets.org/gre. It is best to take coaching from recognised GRE coaching centers to score good marks in your GRE examination.

There is no compulsion to take coaching classes from coaching institutes in order to get good marks in GRE. You need to start your preparation as soon as possible. This is because the pattern has changed a bit and there is huge syllabus. Moreover, the number of applicants is also high hence the competition level is high. There is no need of joining coaching institutes if you want to do self study and can refer a variety of books. Coaching institutes are recommended since they give syllabus specific studies, clears all doubts, give effective study material and also conduct tests in which a candidate can well assess his/her position.
