Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is the national level entrance exam conducted by The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda on behalf of All India Council for Technical Education. Graduation in Pharmacy is the educational qualification for this exam. Final year students of Bachelors in Pharmacy are also eligible to apply for this exam. There will be 150 objective type questions which have to be answered in three hours. Candidates can expect graduate level questions from the topics such as Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics & Pharmacokinetcs and Cosmeticology and Cosmetic Preparations etc. Candidates are advised to refer the text books prescribed for B.Pharm to score good marks in the exam.

Eligibility Criterion for Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test

Candidates who have four year Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from any institute recognized by UGC are eligible to appear for Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test. Final year candidates who are awaiting results can only apply for this test. Apart from this, candidates who have completed B.Pharm through lateral entry after Diploma in Pharmacy can apply for Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test. There is no age limit for this exam.

Exam Pattern for Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test

The exam comprises of only one paper. There will be a total of 150 questions. Maximum time allotted for answer the questions is three hours. Questions will be in multiple choice objective type format. Each question carries three marks. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Preparation Tips for Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test

Candidates who wish to write Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test are advised to start preparation from their second year of study. They can refer to text books prescribed for them. Apart from this, they can refer to various other study materials. It is preferable to download previous question papers from internet and practice mock tests. Such practices will help them in time management. Since questions are based from the prescribed syllabus and it is better to prepare for the examination with the same. Candidates can join coaching classes so as to score high marks.
