GSEB is the medium of understanding a student’s competitiveness in field of Physics by means of a written exam held annually. The students who have opted Physics as a subject in the 12th grade have to sit for a centralized exam. The exam is held in Gujarati, but students can chose an alternative language for the writing the exam.

The duration of the exam is 3 hours and is worth a maximum of 100 marks. The question paper is divided in 4 different sections.

Section A consists of 16 multiple choice questions, with each question having four options. Students have to select the correct solution from the options available. Each correct answer is worth 1 mark.

Section B consists of questions to be answered briefly. This section has 16 questions. Each answer is worth 1 mark. The questions should be answered in short.

Section C consists of 16 questions. Each correct answer is worth 2 marks.  Answers should be short and to the point.

Section D consists of 12 questions. Each question carries 3 marks. Students need to solve them correctly to fetch the desired marks. This section marks the end of the exam.
