Insight of the subject:

The agriculture and ecology paper essentially includes the study of cultivation and environment. It encloses the knowledge of need of growing pest and insects in any cultivation. The subject is very interesting as it includes the knowledge of technology of biology.

Examination:

Candidates have to appear for two written test. Test RAE-I in the forenoon session and RAE-II in the afternoon session. Both the tests are having 100 marks in total and time allotted for both is same i.e. 2 hrs.

Pattern of the paper:

Both the papers are comprised of three sections i.e. A, B and C. The group A solely contains multiple choice type questions. All the questions are given four options and candidates have to choose only one from that. If any candidate chooses more than one answer then his or her answer will be taken as wrong answer. The section also may contain fill in the blanks, generally in the RAE-I test. Group B and C contains descriptive type question. Students who have written precise and brief answers will be given special credit. The pattern of paper for the second test i.e. RAE-II is same as the first one. Short notes are sometimes given to write on too.
