Educational reforms are a to a great extent most debated subject in the recent years. It is common known fact that the system of education formulated by the rulers at that point of time was not on a consonance with the nation’s future goals and objective. After realizing the need for educating the young minds in India, many leaders of the freedom movement have made an effort to establish a national level education institution. With the help of these institutions, the spirit of patriotism and nationalism were rooted in the minds.

Some of the commissions and committees included the RadhaKrishnan Commission on institution of higher education, LaxmanaSwamy Mudaliyar Committee on Secondary Education etc. Another education commission is the Kothari Commission on Education is the prominent ones.

In spite of the large material availability in the form of proposal and proposals which were  curving out from these committees and commissions, educational reforms kept on to stay put an indefinable goal and no significant advancement were accomplished regarding adding fundamental changes in the existing system. With proper education it is possible to craft an all round growth of the individuality together with the physical, intellectual, and divine aspects should outline the objective of education.

Developing the sense of nationalism and development of vision for the country is yet another criterion for the education. The awareness of the past, custom, principles and the world view jointly form the national vision of a human being. A sense of national pride has got to be built-in in the curriculum.
