Structure of Kurukshetra University Ph.D in History Entrance Test

Kurukshetra University Ph.D in History entrance test includes two papers. Paper I is an objective model test where as Paper II is a descriptive model one. The total marks awarded for the first paper is 100 and the time duration allotted for the completion of the same is 1 hour. There will be 50 multiple-choice questions and the marks allotted for each question is 2. The time duration allotted for the completion of the descriptive paper is 2 hours and the maximum marks allotted for this paper is 100.

Eligibility Criteria

The aspirants who have completed their master’s degree in History or related subjects are eligible to apply for Ph.D entrance test in History. The candidate should possess a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination. Those who belong to SC/ST category should need to have only 50% marks.

How to Apply?

The application form and the prospectus of Kurukshetra University Ph.D in History entrance test can be collected from the University counter or other concerned centers. This can be obtained by making a payment of Rs. 500/- (general category candidates). Those candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC category should make a payment of Rs. 250/- for obtaining the same. Another way to collect the application form is to download the same from the official website. This must be filled up completely and must be submitted to the address of the Chairperson/ Director of the Department of History, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana – 136119 on or before the final date.
