Introduction of the new products is done by marketing managers according customer’s requirements. Based on the market research findings they attend meetings and gives presentations.

Publicity officers, packaging designers and advertising agencies, all are involved in promotion campaigns.

Production and promotion and sales and distribution all are coordinated by the managers. Calculating of production costs and sales are involved in pricing.

Maintaining demand and supply is to be ensured by marketing managers. How effective the sales promotion campaign is, the analysis helps in planning future production.

Much of the time marketing managers spent is on discussing with others in touring to visit customers and sale outlets.

Good communication is needed for marketing managers. Persuasive to both inside and outside company people and be able to write and talk clearly. Keeping the objective in mind they need the ability to listen and understand people and their thoughts.

Encouraging, motivating, organizing and accepting responsibilities are a few traits for necessary for manager. Working and willing to adapt to plans to the needs.

For the need of profit, marketing managers need to be good with numerical aptitude as they need it for analyzing sales and research data.

Working through a project with enthusiasm, imagination and attention to details are the most essential personal qualities. Eye for business opportunity, flair to deal with people, gift of communication are the most important characteristics.

Willingness to learn, excellent in communication, technically qualified, good in troubleshooting are the characteristics of industrial marketing people.
