North Malabar Gramin Bank, Kannur is one of the public sector banks in the country. It is owned by the Central and State Government and is sponsored by the Syndicate Bank. The North Malabar Gramin Bank has around 175 branches across Kerala and its one of the reputed banks in the state. The bank invites application for the post of officers and office assistants. The pay scale for the office assistant start from Rs.11, 592/- and for the Officer’s post the range would be Rs.23, 273-Rs.31,137/-.

Structure and Syllabus for NMG Officers Recruitment Exam

The examinations for different post follow different structure.

For the Post of Officer Scale II, the examination is of 150 minutes duration with total 200 questions. The areas of the examination includes,

  • Test of Reasoning: 50 questions
  • Test of Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation: 50 questions
  • Test of Financial Awareness: 50 questions
  • Test of General English: 50 questions

For the Officer Scale I and Office Assistant Post the examination carries objective paper of two and half hours duration with 200 questions. The syllabi of the examination include

  • Test of Reasoning: 50 questions
  • Numerical Ability: 50 questions
  • General Knowledge: 50 questions
  • General English: 50 questions

The medium of the examination is English only and negative marks will be there for wrong answering.

Eligibility Criteria

Officer Scale II: Bachelors Degree in any stream with least 50% marks in the recognized university examination. The candidates must have a minimum of two years work experience in the Banking or financial institutions as an Officer and the age of the applicant should lies between 21 and 32.

Officer Scale I and Office Assistant: Degree in any stream with good working knowledge in Computer. They should have a good proficiency in the local language, Malayalam. The age limit of the candaites should be between 18 and 28.

The applicant should be an Indian Citizen. There will be consideration for the reservation category and for the eligible group.

How to Apply?

The aspirants can apply for the exam by online through the bank’s website, http://www.nmgbank.com . The applicants should take the challan from this website and made their cash payment through the Syndicate bank branch. The candidates should keep the applicant challan with them and need to submit it at the examination venue. The cost the application is Rs.300/- for the general category and only Rs.50/- for the reserved category. After that they can fill the online form.

How to fill the Form?

The instruction will be given there in the registration portal. Before filling the form the applicants should understand the requirements. They should have an official email ID. They have to keep the details of the fee remittent with them and should have a scanned photo of the required format. After filling all the mandatory boxes click the submit button for registration. Take the printout of the submitted form and send it to the submission address before the closing time.
