Pay Scale for the position of Software Developer in Government organizations in India is Rs. 15600-39100 plus a grade pay of Rs.6600. However, this pay scale is not followed by all the public sector organizations.

• First Class Bachelor of Technology/Engineering in any of the following branches:

o Electronics & Telecommunication
• Master of Computer Application
• Master of Science in Computer Science/Electronics

Even candidates from other engineering domains like instrumentation, electrical and mechanical can apply. However, they should have completed their Diploma in Software Technology/advanced computing.
Mode of selection:
Candidates are appointed for the position of software developer through face-to-face interview.
