i want to be automobile engineer but my dad is not interested in it because of common thinking of people that girls don’t have scope in automobile engineering. so i want to know whether my decision of automobile engineer is right or wrong?

i want to be an automobile engineer as i love cars but i have heard from many of my friends that for good placements very big collages like iit,nit,srm are required.i have a question that is that true that for good job placements these big collages are required or we can have good future in auto sector by just doing b.tech and m.tech from collages other than this big collages?
