Institution profile: The national chemical laboratory is a premier research institute under council of scientific and industrial research. It deals in research, development and consultancy services in chemical sciences and related areas. It has excellent research facilities. It has a budget of Rs100 crores and it plans to grow the budget by the same amount in the coming years.

Job profile: The scientists will be required to carry out research in areas like cloning, purification and characterization of microbial proteins, set-up new systems for new venture and PPP creation in technology innovation etc. The will also be required to work on different projects.

Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 35 years. However, relaxation can be claimed.

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must be a PhD in chemistry or physics/biotechnology/biological sciences/natural sciences/chemical/polymer/material sciences from a reputed institute with a relevant experience.

No. of posts: There are 4 posts n total which include 2 posts in physical & materials chemical division, 1 in chemical engineering and process development division and 1 in NCL innovation resource centre.

Pay scale: The scientists would be given a pay scale of Rs15600-39100 plus a grade pay of Rs6600 and other usual allowances as per the rules.

Selection process: The candidates will have to undergo an interview. The selection will be made on the basis of performance in the interview, technical knowledge and experience.
