Supreme Court Judge - How to become a Supreme Court Judge?
The Supreme Court of India is the highest body of justice in our country. It is the highest court of appeal and is responsible for guarding the Indian Constitution. The individual who presides over the Supreme Court of India is known as the Chief Justice. It is a fact that this is the highest judicial position available by an Indian judge. The Chief Justice is eligible to work in the Supreme Court until they are 65 years. They will get a remuneration of around Rs 30,000 - Rs 90,000 per month.
Qualifying Exam
Candidates who aspire to become Supreme Court Judges can apply to the Chief Registrar of the court. After that, they must appear in an entrance exam that is conducted by the Law Service Commission. It is also possible for them to write the State Judicial Law Entrance Exam (SJLEE) that is conducted by the Public Service Commission. Qualified candidates are chosen by the Hon. President of India. The announcement for these examinations will be declared in all top newspapers.
Who is eligible to apply?
Candidates who are applying for this exam must be Indian citizens. They must have finished their Bachelors degree in Law. They must be not more than 35 years when they apply. Candidates who have a pass in their LLM degree can also submit an application for the exam. It is required for the candidates to score at least of 55% marks in their final exams.
How to prepare for exam and interview?
Candidates who are writing the written exam should be knowledgeable in the related subject. They can prepare for the exam by reading law books or other magazines. Candidates who wish to learn more about the exam and its syllabus, can find detail information in the internet. They can also consult other aspirants who have taken this exam previously. When they are appearing for the interview, candidates must make certain that they answer in a straightforward manner.
