Cabinet Secretariat assists the Cabinet headed by the Prime Minister. The cabinet Secretariat is headed by the Cabinet Secretary. The Cabinet Secretariat is responsible for running the administration of the Government of India Rules, 1961 and the Government of India Rules 1961. In other words the Cabinet Secretariat is responsible for facilitating the smooth transaction of business in Ministries or Departments of the Government of India.
Job Profile:
Candidates are invited to apply for the vacant posts of Interpreter in Cabinet Secretariat depending on their educational qualification.
Eligibility:
Candidates should not be more than 30 years of age as on 1 August 2010.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in the releavnt language is required for applying for the posts of Interpreter in Cabinet Secretariat.
No. of posts: There are 63 posts available in total.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 + GRade Pay of Rs. 4800 will be given as the prescribed salary to the selected candidates.

Candidates selection on the above specified post will be made strictly on the basis of their performance in the personal interview test.

This exam happened in the month of March. No one was intimated about this exam date. This is a big fraud. Bloody corrupted people, did back door entries even in this position of foreign langauge interpreters!!! Guys, lets file a RTI against them!!!
Hi,has any one got any call for the exam of interpreter in cabinet secretariet.
Most of the people want to know about the sample papers or just want to get a clue how would be the exams of interpreter in foriegn language, but there is nothing related to it on net or otherwise. Lets take for example for french, there would be grammar part of 15 marks, writing a composition on- 25 marks, translating a text from required language to english and from english to required language, these two translation texts would be of 30 marks each.
Be well prepared for the exams coz it is quite tough. All te best.

when you pubilished advertisment in respect of interpreter vacancy, you required bacherlor’s degree in the reveant language or bachelor degree in any stream but advance diploma is must, ok, but i m seeing that only thoses candidates can apply who have bechelor degree in the reveant language, what is this sir???????? that means i m not able to attend the exam.
