Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission was formed on the 1st April 1937 under the Government of India Act, 1935. The Commission is also regulated by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Regulation, 1976. The main function of the Commission is to conduct examinations for recruiting candidates to the Services of the Union and the Services of the State.
Job Profile:
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Additional Private Secretary (APS) in UP Secretariat Allahabad and Lucknow.
No. of posts – General Recruitment - 240, Special Recruitment - 10
P ay Scale – PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800 with GP of Rs.4600
Eligibility:
Age Criteria: The minimum age limit is 21 yrs and the maximum age limit is 35 yrs.
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have done Graduate Degree from any University recognized by Law in India or any equivalent degree. The candidate must know shorthand in Hindi with minimum 80 words pm speed and Hindi type with minimum 25 words pm speed. The candidate must have computer knowledge.
Selection Process:
The candidates are selected for the posts through written examination and personal interview.

Application Fee:
The fee is Rs. 230 for General & OBC candidates and Rs. 110 for SC/ST candidates. The candidates residing in U.P can pay the fees in Treasuries of U.P through treasury Challan in favor of Secretary, Public Service Commission, U.P. Others can pay the fees through Demand draft payable to Secretary, public Service commission, U.P, Allahabad. The candidates residing in U.P can also pay the fees through demand draft.

All candidates who have applied for APS-2010, are waiting for the examination since long. however, no any firm date has been received so far. Yesterday, I came to know that the above exam is being conducted during Sept’ 2013 but UP PSC has not uploaded any notice in this regard. Has anyone any information about the firm date of exam????
