Secretaries, also called administrative assistants are individuals who carry out administrative and clerical works in an organization. The work profile of a Secretary includes paperwork and filing, attending telephone calls, typing letters and many other responsibilities. In some organizations, they perform correspondence tasks like admitting new members and organizing official conferences, and events. A Secretary may have to store, retrieve and incorporate data for distribution to the employees and clients of the company in which he works.

Qualifying Exam

The eligibility criterion to turn out to be a Secretary is a pass in graduation in Business Administration. Graduates in any level can become the same. But they should have some additional skills like good communication skills. They should be able to converse fluently in English and the regional language. In addition, they should have proficiency in computer basics like MS Word, MS Excel and so on. In order to become a Secretary, they also require Typewriting skills and internet usage proficiency.
