In this paper, the general and basic aspects of computing, different types of commands and programs, their uses are to be studied.

Paper is divided as:

The question paper is divided in to three main sections. These sections are Section A, Section B and Section C.

Paper Pattern:

The Introduction to Computing is one of the subjects in the 2nd semester of the EE of WBUT. The question paper has all together 11 questions. These 11 questions are divided in to three sections of the paper. The first section has only one question, which has 12 MSQs in it. Out of the given 12 MCQs, one needs to answer any 10. Every MCQ is of 1 mark each. There are no negative marks for wrong answers.

The second section has short descriptive type questions of 5 marks each. There are 5 such questions in the section and one needs to answer any 3. The last section has long descriptive type of questions which are of 15 marks each. This section also has 5 questions and the students are supposed to answer any 3. The total mark of the paper is 70 and the time allotted is 3 hours. The question paper is in English language, and the answers are also supposed to be written in English only.
