When it comes to government jobs in the field of facilities management, some of the government organizations recruit facilities manager on contract basis until the completion of a particular construction contract or similar contract. Even though, government organizations recruit on contract basis, professionals in this field can find job opportunities in big corporate firms after completion of the contract with government organization since government job experience would add weightage to their resume. However, private organizations in the construction and engineering sector normally recruit facilities manager on permanent basis since they will be having construction and real estate based projects one after the other and for effective management of these projects they are often in need of facilities manager with some years of experience for effective handling of the project.
