Profile:

The Indian Navy was founded in the year 1947 as the naval branch of the armed force of India. At present, there are approximately 67 thousand personnel on active duty in the navy. It is the fifth largest navy in terms of the personnel in the world. More than 155 vessels are been operated by the Indian Navy including the Aircraft Carrier INS Viraat. The major objective of the Indian Navy is to secure the maritime borders of the country and also to enhance its international relations.

Job Profile:

Candidates are invited to apply for the posts of Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officer in Executive Branch (General Service - GS) in the Indian Navy.

Eligibility:

Candidates must be between 19 and a half to 25 years which means they should have been born between 2 July 1986 and 1 January 1992 (both dates are inclusive).

Educational Qualification:

B.Tech or B.E. with atleast 60% marks in aggregate in any discipline is required for applying for the specified posts in The Indian Navy.

No. of posts: Several posts are available in total.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get the prescribed salary of Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

Selection Process:

Candidates will have to face a written test followed by a personal interview examination. Eligible candidates will then have to undergo a medical test.
