Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) was established on October 1, 1926 at New delhi. It is a constitutional body in the country responsible for making recruitment to the various civil services in the country. The commission is authorized to conduct written as well as interview examination for the recruitment on various civil services positions. The first ever Public Service Commission was established in the year 1926 by the British Indian Government present at that time.
