IAF Musician Trade 2011
Indian Air Force conducts a selection process for Airmen in Musician Trade. Candidates pursuing this course will be given further opportunities to become a Commissioned Officer in the Armed Forces. After the training is completed the selected candidates become the part of Indian Air Force as an airman for an initial period of 20 years which is extendible upto 57 years.
The air force wing of the defense department of our nation is one of the elite organizations that have dedicated its service for protecting as well as up keeping of the territories of our nation. The candidates are scrutinized with a series of tough yet elegant form of admission as they are dignified with both rounds of personal interview as well as practical exams. Like all the other wings of Defence, Indian Air Force is also respected and honored by almost every individual. However, seeking a career in such a renowned organization is quite difficult. That is why even the recruitment of the IAF Musician Trade is so tough and stiff as far as competition is concerned. Above all the vacancies in the organization decides the number of applicants.
Eligibility Criteria:
The age limit of the candidate applying for this position should not be more than 37. However, the candidate should not be less than 17 years of age in order to be eligible for the position. The applying candidate should have the basic knowledge of English, and should be able to write and read considerably. The candidate should be playing any one of the following instrument:
Trumpet
Bass
Violin
Saxophone
Clarinet
Euphonium
Jazz Drum
Piccolo
Bass Trombone
Key Board
The aspiring candidates should have a fair knowledge of English and should have hold on any of the particular playing instruments mentioned in the list. The candidates during the admission process should be fairly mentally as well as physically fit and should not complain of sufferance of any kind of mental or physical trauma.
Selection Criteria:
The candidates are selected on the grounds of the efficiency they show while playing the instrument. The specific musical instrument they play is what accounts for their selection. The candidates who do well with their instrument are then processed for the medical examination, which is also compulsory and mandatory to qualify in order to be eligible for the position.
Medical Standards required for Musician Trade:
Candidate should not have any history of mental illness, should be free from any communicable disease and skin ailments. The candidate should also not have any medical or surgical deformity. Height should be atleast 167 cms. Minimum size of expanded chest should be 75 cm with minimum range of expansion being 5 cm. Candidate should also have specified visual standards which includes Minimum vision of at least 6/12 each eye or 6/6 in better eye and 6/36 in worse eye with spectacles. Also the candidate should have normal hearing and good dental health.
How to Apply:
Candidates have to apply in a specified format according to the admission notification. The application has to be send to Central Airmen Selection Board, Post Box No. 11807, New Delhi – 110010. Under no circumstances, does the organization holds responsibility for the delay in the arrival of the admit card replied to the aspiring candidates.
