I really appreciate your strong will to join the IAF and fulfill your dream.

Before joining IAF it is very much required that you choose which field you want to join in IAF. I mean there are three disciplines:-

1. Flying branch.
2. technical branch.
3. administrative branch.

As you are a girl candidate then you can only join IAF as a short commissioned officer i.e, your service will remain for 14 years. After that you can be grant a permanent service according to your will and job profile.

All you have to do is to have a graduation degree fron any field(b.tech or b.sc-for flying) and apply separately to IAF according to the advertisement published by the force for recruitment in SSC.

Physical standards:- You have to be physically fit in all respect. The eye-sight must be 6/6 in both eyes , without any type of colour blindness or other type of diseases.

So, just go for it.....

Yes Girl candidates are eligible to join the Indian Air Force through cracking the Combined Defense Services Examination.

The Combined Defense Services Examination is one of the examination conducted twice every year by the Union Public Service Commission.

Through this examination , candidates can join the following wings of Indian Defense :

* Indian Military Academy

* Air Force Academy

* Naval Academy

* Officer`s Training Academy

The Qualifications that you should have for the CDS Examination are :

A) Educational Qualification :

* Graduation in any stream with Maths as one of the subjects is required from any UGC recognized university.

* Final year graduation candidates can also apply for CDS-I exam.

B) Age Limitations :

* Your age should lie in between 18-24 years.

* No relaxation in upper age is given to candidates belonging to any category.

The eligibility criteria required for the CDS examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of graduation in any stream from any recognized college or university.

* Final year contendors are also eligible for this examination.

* Age limit:- 21-30 yrs.

* Age relaxation:- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contendors.

* Sex:- Both male and female contendors.

* Marital status:- Unmarried.

* Nationality:- Indian.

* Physical eligibility:- Must be fit.
