Iam doing my BE Aeronautical engineering , how can i join IAF as an officer, where do i get apllication forums for joining IAF.

You can join Indian Air force as an officer through two entry schemes i.e
AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST and the COMBINED DEFENCE SERVCE. Through these two entry schemes you can join apply for the various branches of Indian Air force such as flying branch, Technical Branch and Ground duty branch. The eligibility criteria required for both of the entry schemes is described in detail below:


AFCAT
This examination is conducted by the Indian Air force twice in a year. To apply for this examination a candidate should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university. Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for this examination.

For the Technical Branch only the engineering candidates are eligible and pre final year students are also eligible to apply for the Indian Air force through University Entry scheme.

Age Limit

FLYING BRANCH
19 to 23 years

TECHNICAL BRANCH
18 to 28 years

GROUND DUTY BRANCH
20 to 23 years.

CDS Entry
Combined defence service examination is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. To apply for this examination a candidate should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university. Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible.

For the Indian Air force and Navy candidate should have Physics and Maths at 10+2 level.

Age Limit
Indian Military Academy 19-23 Years
Air Force Academy 19-23 Years
Naval Academy 19-22 Years
Officers’ Training Academy 19-25 Years

Hello

Air Force have three branches.

1)Flying Branch-educational qualification-graduation from any stream but with physics and maths in 10+2.

2)Technical Branch-Engineering degree in core subjects like electrical,mechanical,aeronautical etc.

3)ground Duty Branch-Graduation from any stream.

Two modes of entry in Air Force

1)AFCAT-Air Force Common Admission Test-age for flying branch is 19 to 23 years
For technical branch is 18 to 28 years,ground duty branch-20 to 23 years.

2)CDSE-Combined Defence Service Examination-only flying branch ,age same as AFCAT.

Percentage required for AFCAT is 60%.

AFCAT is only with air force entry,CDSE is with all three wings of defence air force,army,navy.

Selection pattern

1)WRitten Exam
a)English
b)General Knowledge
c)Elementary mathematics

Old notification of CDSEand AFCAT are uploaded along with question paper ofCDSE and AFCAT.

sir I have done my 12th with 96% in pcm and I want to become a pilot at iaf..can I get a direct entry without competing nda..

How much marks is needed I n class 12 for an IAF officer .can student apply for IAF OFFICER afte just passed class 12.

on june and october IAF admission will publish on upsc go through it .. me also waiting for that too..,
