An entrance exam Tamil Nadu Professional Courses Entrance Examinations (TNPCEE) is conducted by Anna University in Chennai on behalf of Tamil Nadu University for admission into various professional courses. TNPCEE Engineering Exam is conducted by Anna University for the selection of appropriate candidates for the engineering courses offered by various Government and self financing institutes under Anna University. The undergraduate Engineering course offered by the University has the duration of Four years. The candidates who want to pursue an engineering degree can apply for the test.

Structure of TNPCEE Engineering Exam

The candidates have to qualify the written test for getting admission for the Engineering courses offered by the Institute of Anna University. The written test consists of six papers of questions. The engineering candidates have to attend two papers for the exam. The exam includes objective type questions. The first paper consists of 120 questions and the second paper consists of 90 questions. The test comprises of questions to analyze the candidates’ basic knowledge in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and mathematics. The total marks awarded for the test is 100.

The TNPCEE Engineering Entrance Exam consists of questions from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the Higher Secondary syllabus. The questions are expected from the following topics.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who have completed their Higher Secondary Examination from any recognized board with 60% marks in aggregate. The candidates should secure 60% marks separately in Mathematics and in Physics and Chemistry together.  The candidates who have more than 21 years cannot apply for the test. The SC/ST candidates have allowed certain relaxation for marks and age.

How to Apply?

The interested candidates can obtain the application form and information bulletin from the selected exam centers in Tamil Nadu. The form will be also obtained from the selected Canara bank branches in Tamil Nadu. It is also obtained from State bank of India branch of Anna University.  The application fee is Rs.205/- The candidates can send a request letter with a demand draft of Rs. 230/- for getting the form by post. The demand draft should be taken from any nationalized bank.

How to fill the Form?

The information bulletin consists of all the instructions for filling the application form. The candidates should fill the form as per the instructions. The candidates should fill all the details correctly. Otherwise it leads to the cancellation of the form. The contact details of the candidates should be filled correctly without any mistakes. The fee payment details should also mentioned in the application form. The demand draft and self attested copy of the certificates should be attached with the application form.

Study Plan

The candidates should develop a study plan which should be followed by the candidates. The candidates have to collect the syllabus of the exam from the website. Divide the portions into difficult and easy portions. Give more time to study the difficult and most important topics. It helps the candidates to score more marks. The candidates have to collect notes from all possible sources. Try to prepare short notes while reading the text books. Give some hours each day for preparing and revising the topics. Collect previous question papers from the website. It helps the candidates to identify the exam pattern and style of the questions. Try to attempt the exam without exam fear. It helps the candidates to score good marks in the exam.

How and Where To Get the Results?

The result of the exam will be published in the website www.annauniv.edu. The candidates have to check the website regularly for the exam details.

Score Validity

The exam score is valid only for the present academic year. After that period new exam notification will be released.
