It has been dealing in designing from the past 40 years. Other areas of its work are project management, construction supervision, infrastructure etc.

Job profile: The engineers will be required to execute various activities of their departments like designing of pressure vessels, environmental department, piping etc. They will be required to prepare technical specifications and manage the work.

Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 40 years for deputy chief engineer, 35 years for assistant chief engineer and 27 years (for graduate) and 29 years (for post graduates) for the environmental engineer. However, relaxation can be claimed.

Educational Qualifications: For Deputy CE – A candidate must have an engineering degree in mechanical/civil with an experience of 11 years in the related field. For ACE – A candidate must have an engineering degree in mechanical/civil/instrumentation/electronics/electrical with an experience of 8 years in the relevant field. For Engineer in EIA – A candidate must have an engineering degree in environmental science/chemical with a 2 yeas experience. The minimum percentage required during the graduation is 60% and 50% for SC/ST.

No. of posts: There are 3 posts for Deputy Chief Engineer, 4 for Assistant Chief Engineer and 2 for the Engineer in Environment – EIA.

Pay scale: The pay scale for DCE is Rs29100-54500, for ACE is Rs24900-50500 and for engineer in EIA is Rs16400-40500.

Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit and their performance during the interview.
