Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants must have got any of the qualifications to apply for Ph.D in Statistics entrance exam.

M.A and M.Sc should be done in Statistics. They should have done the Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics or Statistics as the main subjects as well. Most of the Universities ask for 50% marks in the qualifying exam. The degree should be obtained from a recognized University.

Application details

Application procedures will be different for different Universities. There will be online mode of application in most of the Universities like University of Hyderabad. The forms will be given in the concerned University’s official website. After filling the information online they have to submit the application. They have to send the hard copy of the same to the concerned address. For North Maharashtra University, the application fee is Rs.500/-. For University of Hyderabad the application form will cost Rs.400/-. So the cost of application form for other Universities will most likely be in the range of Rs.350/- to Rs.550/-. There will be concession in the fees for reserved category students. The fees have to be paid in the form of DD.

Pattern of Ph.D in Statistics Entrance tests

The exam is normally of objective type model. There will be answers given as options for all the questions and the students have to choose the right option. There will be negative marking for most of the Universities like University of Hyderabad. But in certain Universities like North Maharashtra University there is no negative marking.
