KPC Medical College offers undergraduate courses in various medical and health care disciplines. The college is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences and is approved by the Medical Council of India and the Govt. of India. Admission to the MBBS course is carried out through an entrance test conducted by the college.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should be an Indian national or a qualified foreign national.
• Candidates born on or before 31st December 1995 are eligible to apply. That is, candidates should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December at the time of admission.
• The educational qualification required to apply for the MBBS course is 50% marks in 10+2 level or an equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the main subjects. English should be one of the subjects studied by the candidate.

Admission procedure

• Application forms can be downloaded from the KPC Medical College website.
• A non-refundable fee of Rs 5,000/- as Demand Draft is to be drawn in favour of “KPC Medical College & Hospital, Jadavpur” from any bank payable in Kolkata.
• Filled in application form should be forwarded to KPC Medical College & Hospital, Javadpur, Kolkata, West Bengal.
• Candidates will be intimated regarding details of the entrance examination.
• Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the score in the entrance exam. List of successful candidates can be accessed online or from the college notice board.
• Candidates whose names appear on the list are required to appear for the counseling session as and when intimated by the board.
• Candidates are also required to undergo a medical examination prior to the admission.

Documents/Certificates required at the time of admission:

• Any certificate containing date of birth
• Conduct & Character Certificate as per the format prescribed in the prospectus.
• Four recent and identical passport size photographs
• Mark list of class 10 and 12.
• Medical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format.
• School/College Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate
• Hall Ticket

Entrance exam pattern

• The entrance examination follows the objective type model with multiple choice questions.
• The examination will feature 200 questions which needs to be answered in 2 hours time.
• Physics, Chemistry and Biology are the subjects covered in the entrance exam. There will be 100 questions from Biology and 50 questions each from both Physics and Chemistry.
• The examination is for 200 marks and each question carries one mark.

The syllabus for the entrance exam mainly covers topics studied in 12th Standard (CBSE, ISC, WBJEE, etc).
