Vellore Institute of Technology invites application for Master of Engineering in Software Engineering every year. VIT is the first educational institution in India to have international accreditations for its programmes. M S Software Engineering (MSSE) is a five year integrated degree programme. Candidates are required to send the print outs of application form along with related documents to the Admissions Officer, Vellore Institute of Technology. Eligibility

Candidates who have completed their higher secondary education in regular and full time mode are eligible to apply. Candidates should secure an aggregate of 60% marks in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics in their higher secondary exam. Candidates should have completed 20 years of age so as to apply for this course. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories and candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir, and north eastern states such as Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura require 50% marks in aggregate to apply.

Application process

Candidates can apply to this course in offline mode as well as online mode. Candidates should have a valid email id and mobile number at the time of application.

Offline Application - Candidates need to take a demand draft of Rs. 600/-from any nationalized bank in favor of VIT UNIVERSITY payable at Vellore. The DD should be sent with a request letter containing full address of the candidate and mobile number, along with application form as well as supporting documents to the below address

Candidates are required to send the following documents along with their application form

• SSLC Certificate or age proof
• Higher secondary mark sheet
• Community certificate (for SC/ST candidates only)

Candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir and North eastern states are required to send their nativity certificate along with their application.

Online application - Candidates can apply online from the official website of Vellore Institute of Technology. Candidates are required to upload the scanned version of recent passport size photo in the online application. Those who fail to upload the photo in application form can affix their photograph in print out of filled out application form along with their signature as well as parents’ signature and sent to the address of Admissions Officer, VIT University, Vellore, along with supporting documents. Candidates can remit the fees via Net banking, credit card or debit card. Candidates are advised to note the application number generated after the successful completion of online transaction for future reference.

Admission Process

Admission to the programme is based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination. Reserved category students are eligible for relaxation as per the university norms. Selected candidates will be shortlisted for the interview.
