Interviews are considered as the final step of the recruitment process in banking sector. Interviews are important as the final selection is based on the performance in written test along with interview. Interviews are conducted to measure the candidate’s interpersonal skills, attitude and problem solving skills. Let us see some useful preparation tips which will help one to face the interview with good confidence.

Things to be taken care before the interview

Know the bank:  Before appearing for the interview, the candidates must make sure that he/she is well informed about the bank of which they have cleared the exam. The financial products and online banking facilities are available in the banks website. It is preferable to have a thorough knowledge about the history, services, products, achievement, management, as well as the values of the bank. Aspirants can also talk with current employees or former employees about the bank so as to get more information about the bank.

Personnel Demeanour: It is important that the candidate is perfectly groomed and has a professional outfit. The impression a person gives at the first meeting is very much important. Most interviewers will expect the candidates to come in formal attire. The candidates must dress neatly and soberly. Candidates are advised to avoid strong perfumes and flashy clothes. Keep in mind to avoid minor issues such as missing buttons, wayward hair, unpolished shoes or wrinkled tie.

Interview gear –ups: The candidates must make sure that they have collected all the necessary equipments ahead of the interview. Certificates and supporting documents such as interview call latter, hall ticket copy and photographs should be arranged in a file neatly and kept safely.

Practice interview questions: Interviewers might ask the candidates questions related to their personal life, academics and questions related to banking industry.
