Mahatma Gandhi Mission’s College of Engineering and Technology (MGM CET) is one among the old generation engineering colleges in Mumbai. This prominent college which runs under the sponsorship of Mahatma Gandhi Mission is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. Courses like B.E in Information Technology, B.E in Mechanical Engineering and M.E in Bio Medical Engineering are offered at the institute. Admission to these courses is done on the basis of entrance exams like MHT-CET, AIEEE, GATE, etc.

Admission Process in MGM CET

Admissions in MGM CET are carried out on the basis of the norms issued by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra. HSC passed candidates can apply for under graduate courses in engineering. Such candidates must have completed the qualification with Physics, chemistry, and mathematics as subjects. Diploma holders can also seek admission to B.E programs in the concerned stream.

Apart from these educational qualifications, candidates seeking admission to UG courses need valid entrance test score also. Score in national entrance test (AIEEE)/state level entrance test (MHT CET) is usually considered for admission.

Admission process is done via centralized counseling conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra. At the time of admission, candidate should reach the venue along with three attested copies of the following documents.

  • Allotment letter for Centralized Allotment Process (CAP)
  • College Leaving Certificate after HSC
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Higher Secondary Mark Sheet
  • MHT CET /AIEEE score card
  • Nationality Certificate
  • Pass Port size Photographs
  • SSC Mark Sheet
  • Stamp Paper

After verification of these documents, admission process will be carried out. Candidate can expect admission in their area of interest based on their marks in HSC Exam.

Bachelor degree holders in engineering can apply for master of engineering courses in the respective stream. Selection to M.E programs are done on the basis of GATE score. In this case also candidate must submit their GATE score card along with other relevant documents at the time of admission.
