Bioinformatics is a branch of science which deals with the application of information technology in Biological sciences especially molecular biology. It is a blend of information technology, molecular biology, and biochemistry. The course includes problem solving related to life sciences and the applications of computational science. This course is suitable for the 12th class pass students.

Eligibility for Bioinformatics after 12th

To apply for an undergraduate course in Bioinformatics, the candidates are required to complete their 12th class from a recognized institute. The students should have pursued Chemistry, Physics, and Biology at the plus two level. In some colleges, the selection to the course is done on the basis of entrance exam score. For appearing in the entrance exam, the candidates are required to achieve a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
