Union Public Service Commission came into existence on October 1, 1926 under The Government of India. The commission holds the responsibility of being a constitutional body in the country which is responsible or infact authorized to conduct competitive written as well as interview examinations for the appointment to the various Civil Services of India. The Chairman and other members of the Union Public Service Commission are selected by the President of India only. Union Public Service Commission is actually headed by one chairman and ten other members.

Job Profile:

Union Public Service Commission is going to conduct examination for making recruitment of eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the posts of Deputy Director in Ministry of Labour and Employment. Candidates will be recruited in the Department of Employees State Insurance Corporation. The vacancies for the posts of Deputy Director are available in the disciplines of Administration or Insurance or Training etc. Candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India.

Eligibility:

Interested candidates must have age not exceeding 40 years as on the normal closing date. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes categories, will get relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit set for the post of Deputy Director. Candidates falling under Other Backward categroy will get relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit. Other reserved categories candidates may also get relaxation of few years as per the rules of Government of India. All candidates are required to fulfill this age criteria for being eligible for the specified post of Deputy Director.

Educational Qualification:

The minimum educational qualification required for the post of Deputy Director is Degree in any disciplines from a recognized university or equivalent. Candidates must also possess minimum 5 years of experience in any scheduled bank or government undertaking or equivalent. Candidates must also possess knowledgeof Social Insurance or Labour Problems. Candidates with working knowledge of one or more Indian languages and experience of controlling small offices, are desirable for the post.

Posts available for SC candidates: Only 5 posts.
Posts available for ST candidates: Only 3 posts.
Posts available for OBC candidates: Only 11 posts.
Posts available for PH candidates: Only 1 post.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

Application Fee:

Interested candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 50 in the shape of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. No fee is to be submitted by candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH/Women categories. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process:

Selection Process for the above specified position is comprises of a Competitive Written Examination followed by a Personal Interview Test or Group Discussion. Candidates are required to qualify in all the stages of the selection process.
