The Union Public Service Commission shortly called as UPSC is the central agency in the nation responsible for conducting Civil Services Examinations for entry-level positions to different civil services in India. The constitution of India has granted the charter for the UPSC Articles 315 to 323 of Part XIV of the Indian constitution offer for a public service commission for each state and union territory in the nation.

Recruitment by Union Public Service Commission:

The Union Public Service Commission has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Deputy Director Finance for working under the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Name of the Vacancy: Deputy Director Finance

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 20, which is divided among the different categories of candidates as follows:

General – 09

OBC – 06

SC – 03

ST – 02

Of these 20 positions, one post is reserved for physically handicapped candidates.

Period of probation: 02 years

Pay Scale: Candidates will be coming under the pay brand 3, which is Rs.15600-39100+GP of Rs.5400. Total monthly emoluments exclusive of TA and HRA at the time of appointment would be approximately Rs.31710/-

Eligibility requirements:

Educational qualification and experience: Candidates must be chartered or registered accountant with at least five years of experience in a semi government or government department or corporation or commercial firm of standing.

(or)

Candidates must be SAS passed accountants with at least five years experience or working in a responsible position in a government or semi government department.

Along with these qualifications, preference will be given to candidates with degree from a recognized university.

Age:

Not exceeding 40 years on the closing date of application for general category candidates, not more than 45 years for SC/ST candidates and not exceeding 43 years for OBC candidates. Upper age limit is relaxable up to five years for regularly appointed UT government servants/central government services.

Cost of application:

Fee payable is Rs.50 only in the shape of Central Recruitment Stamp. SC/ST/PH/Women candidates are exempted from payment of this fee.
