Larsen and Toubro limited has invited application for L&T build India Scholarship program 2013. Fresh engineering graduates who are interested in Master of Technology in Construction Technology in IIT (Delhi, Madras) are eligible to apply. 

Eligibility Criterion

Final year candidates who are pursuing Bachelor of Technology/ Engineering in any of the below mentioned courses from a recognized University or AICTE approved institutions are eligible to apply for this program.

• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering

Those who will pass out in the year 2013 are only eligible to apply. They are required to secure a minimum aggregate average of 65% marks in qualifying examination so as to be eligible. Candidates who are not more than 23 years of age at the time of application are only eligible to apply.

Physical Standards

Candidates are required to have minimum height of 160 centimeters and minimum body weight of 50 kilo grams. In addition to this, they should have eye vision not less than ± 5.0 diopters if wearing glasses.

Selection Process:

Eligible candidates are required to qualify the written test conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT). There will be multiple choice objective type questions in the written examination. Those who have cleared the written examination will be short listed for personal interview conducted by IIT in co-ordination with the organization. Final selection will be based on the composite scores obtained by the candidates in written examination and personal interview. They will have to clear the medical test conducted by the organization.

Those who get selection will be admitted for the course of Master of Technology in Construction Technology & Management at IIT (Delhi, Madras). Apart from this, candidates are required to execute a value of Rs. 300,000/- so as to complete the course as well as to serve the organization for a minimum period of 5 years. The duration of the course is 2 years. The organization will pay Rs. 9000/- per month as stipend as well as sponsorships to IIT. Those who have successfully completed the course will be absorbed by the organization in regular employment as per the terms and conditions issued by the firm. Total cost to the company for every candidate amounts to Rs. 4,00,000/- per year.

Apart from this, candidates can apply by post after downloading the application form.
