MBA and MIB are postgraduate courses in business administration and international business respectively. Both Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Masters in International Business (MIB) have the same value in the job market. The courses improve the managerial expertise and the administrative skills of the candidate. The duration of both the courses is 2 years. However, though courses are same in some aspects; they are different in certain facts. The actual difference of the course lies in their course content. MBA course educates students with managerial aspects mostly from Indian perspective. MIB on the other hand exposes students to the effect of international business on the concerned business.

MBA and Opportunities

MBA is one among the popular management courses offered through several colleges and Universities in the country. Due to the growing competition and complexity of the economy, the demand for MBA graduates are much high in the present era. This is mainly because such professionals make use of their planning skills and managerial skills to maximize individual and organizational productivity. There exists lot of career opportunities for MBA graduates in India as well as in international countries. They can find employment in Banks, Business Consultancies, Financial organizations, Industrial houses, MNC s, etc.

MIB and Opportunities

Master of International Business course is offered through only a few colleges in the country. The course study mainly deals with the ways to carry out business in international markets. Apart from managerial skills, the course offers adequate international skills to the candidate to perform well in international job sector. Upon completion of the course, the candidate can find enough career opportunities with international organizations and environments. This course is an appropriate choice for those who are interested to work in countries outside India.

Key differences between MBA and MIB

In MBA course, the students are exposed more on the standards adopted in the country where as in Master of International Business course emphasis is given more on international standards. In the former, academic subjects are taught mainly from Indian perspective where as in the later stress is given on aspects that are more international.

The syllabus or academic curriculum of the courses is different. MBA course is much suitable for candidates who are interested to obtain managerial job in the country where as MIB course is much preferable to obtain similar jobs in international organizations.
