The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) came into existence in 1956. DAE works under the direct control of the Prime Minister of India with headquartered in Mumbai. The department is in charge for nuclear technology including nuclear power and research.

DAE is responsible for generation of safe, economically competitive electricity from nuclear energy by utilizing the natural resources of uranium and thorium available in the country. DAE also encourages international cooperation in advanced areas of research and in mega science projects in order to realize the advantages of state-of-the-art science and nuclear technologies.

Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Dr. K. S. Krishnan Research Associateship (KSKRA) in one of the advanced research centres of the Department - Bhaba Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC) and Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB).

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The upper age limit is 32 yrs (Relaxable as per rules).

Educational Qualification – For Engineers - The candidates must have done Ph.D in Engineering or Master’s degree in Engineering with minimum of 2 years R&D experience after the degree. For Scientists - The candidates must have done Ph.D in Science with first class at either Masters or bachelors level.

Candidates will be selected based on their qualification, published R&D work and performance in the interview.
