Is it possible to get admission in IIT after completing 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering course?


Hello Sir/Madam,
I am Azim Khan and I want to know that can a Diploma of Mechanical Engineering student can get admission in IIT after he complete his 3 years Diploma course? I request you to answer my question asap. Thank you.

No, Diploma holders are not eligible to get admission in IIT. Only candidates who had completed 12th standard from a recognised board and those who had qualified JEE Main and JEE Advanced examination are eligible to get admission in IIT. Since, you had not pursued 12th standard, you are not eligible to apply for admission in IIT. But, if you are interested to study B.Tech course in any other colleges, then, you need to appear in LEET/ECE/JELET examinations to get admission in second year of three years Diploma course.
