Students can apply online or through an IDBI Bank branch for an education loan. Students who are studying graduation, post graduation and post graduate diploma courses in the colleges / universities recognized by UGC, Government, AICTE, AIBMS, IMCR etc. are eligible to apply for education loans in IDBI Bank. Students who have passed 10+2 and secured admission through the merit based selection process are eligible to apply for education loans in IDBI Bank. Students can get up to Rs 10 Lakhs for studies in India. No security is required for loans up to Rs 4 Lakhs in IDBI Bank. Parents will be required to execute the loan documents jointly. The rate of interest for an education loan of up to Rs 10 Lakhs is 9.50% in IDBI Bank. Students can check with bank branch for exact interest rate.
